GREAT FALLS PARK • MARYLAND & VIRGINIA
A BLACK & WHITE PORTFOLIO
great falls park
Great Falls Park is located about 15 miles northwest of Washington, DC. The entire park (MD and VA parks combined) covers nearly 2000 acres of uniquely varied terrain and features the historic Potomac River and C&O (Chesapeake & Ohio) Canal as key points of interest. A haven for any lover of the great outdoors, Great Falls Park is steeped in rich history, and natural, as well as timeworn, man-made, beauty abounds.
I've been making photographs out at Great Falls since 1987. It is a one-of-a-kind place in the DC area, and the park never ceases to intrigue me. Great Falls Park is my favorite destination when I go looking for "snaps" but don't care to wander too far from home.
The portfolio cd contains a good helping of the black & white work I've done at the park over the years. It's sure to please those who enjoy the many different faces (both grand and subtle) of Great Falls Park, and it should find appeal with anyone who enjoys photography of the natural scene. The portfolio cd features:
- 98 black & white portfolio photographs
- CD contents page with portfolio viewing tips
- Two options for viewing the portfolio: (1) A static gallery with thumbnails and larger single views for easy locating and viewing individual images, and (2) A dynamic Apple® QuickTime® presentation of the images accompanied by a classical music soundtrack
- Title page with full titles of all photographs
- Information about Great Falls and some of its history (written by the photographer)
- More about the photographer (a short bio)
- Authoring of the cd in three common, multi-platform file formats, making the cd compatible with all operating systems
Below are examples of photographs found in the Great Falls Park Portfolio CD. All photographs on the cd are available as expressive prints. Please see the prices & rates page for cd ordering information and for more information about expressive print renditions.
